gGadget > Verizon LTE Coverage Expands Feb. 16
Verizon LTE coverage will reach Cookeville, Tennessee for the first time tomorrow, and the Verizon 4G LTE network will be expanded in Rapid City, South Dakota, San Antonio, TX, and Clarksville, Tennessee. If you own a Verizon 4G LTE compatible device but don’t live in an area with LTE coverage, don’t fret. Verizon will be extending their 4G LTE coverage all over the country over the next year. By 2013, they plan to provide the majority of the U.S. with access to the outrageously fast LTE network on their LTE compatible devices.
As of tomorrow, Verizon’s LTE network will be available in 195 cities. The network is also available in 122 airports in the U.S. According to Verizon, two-thirds of U.S. Verizon users should be able to take advantage of LTE speeds by the middle of 2012. Verizon currently offers a total of nineteen smartphones, tablets, laptops, jetpacks, and USB modems that are 4G LTE compatible. It’s safe to assume that Verizon will be adding a large number of 4G LTE compatible devices to their collection over the next year.
