gGadget > Sprint Galaxy Nexus: Get Updates from Google

On January 9, Sprint announced that the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus would be available on their new 4G LTE network sometime in 2012. Since then, Sprint forum rumors about the phone’s release date and specifications have been circulating. Now Google has officially launched a sign-up page for Sprint users to receive updates about the upcoming release and specs of the phone. This may be a clear indication that the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus will be hitting the shelves at Sprint sooner rather than later.
According to some sources, the Sprint Galaxy Nexus will come with 32 GB of storage, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, and a more powerful battery than current Galaxy Nexus models from other providers. All of this is speculation, though. What we can expect with some certainty is that the new Sprint Galaxy Nexus will come with a gorgeous 720p display, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD video capture. And we know that the new Galaxy Nexus will be the first Sprint 4G LTE phone on the market. The LG Viper will follow soon after the Galaxy Nexus release, giving Sprint customers a choice of 4G LTE phones.

This actually seems really cool, and my best friend has one…I just don’t have Verizon. I have AT&T. *sobs*
