Yesterday at Mobile World Congress, Nokia announced that Skype for Windows phone models is now available on the Windows Market. This version of Skype for Windows phones is a beta version that is only available for a select few Windows phones. These phones include the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 710, Samsung Focus S, Samsung Focus Flash, HTC Titan, and HTC Radar. If your Windows phone isn’t on the list, you can expect access to the new Skype app sometime around April of this year.

Once Skype fully launches on all Windows phones, the popular international video calling application will be accessible to all smartphone users. Skype has been around for Android phones and iPhone models for a while. Its inclusion on the Windows Market means that Windows phone users now have a viable and easy way to video chat with friends around the world via their mobile carrier’s network or Wi-Fi.

Official Beta Release Date: February 26, 2012
