gGadget > Samsung Galaxy S Advance Now Available for Pre-Order
On Monday of this week, representatives at Samsung announced that they will be releasing their new Samsung Galaxy S Advance in the near future. Today, the phone became available to pre-order on the websites of several mobile providers in the UK. The release date of the new Galaxy S is unknown. According to some online mobile retailers, the phone will officially be released on February 27, just in time for Mobile World Congress. However, other sources believe the new Galaxy phone could be released as early as February 6. It’s safe to assume that the phone will become available to UK mobile customers sometime in February or early March.
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance will boast some modest specs in comparison to other Samsung Galaxy phones. It will come with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. Additionally, the Advance will run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, instead of the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Advance’s beautiful, 4 inch Super AMOLED display will likely be what attracts consumers to the phone.
If you’re looking for a smartphone with the fastest processor, 32GB of memory, and a top-of-the-line 8 megapixel camera, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance may not be a good fit. If you’re looking for a good quality Android phone that lets you access your favorite websites and apps, the Advance may be right up your alley. You can pre-order this new Galaxy phone for around £350 on some sites like MobileFun. However, there’s speculation that the phone will be offered for free from companies like T-Mobile with a contract renewal. So, it may be in your best interest
Expected Release Date: February 27
