Microsoft’s new “Jasper” Xbox 360 video game console cooler, quieter, more energy efficient

 

Over on my JOEyGADGET blog I wrote a small piece about the latest Xbox 360s, which are built around a chipset known as “Jasper.”

 

I’m pointing to it here because the new Jasper-equipped consoles draw less energy, which means they run cooler, quieter, and hopefully more reliably, unlike prior versions that suffered from a hardware failure known as the dreaded Red Ring of Death.

  1. This was a nice upgrade from MS…. but there is still a lot to do if you compare this gadget with the ones from SONY or Nintendo….
